Secured an used Mac Mini late 2012, a little beauty, in mint condition last week. The seller puts ad in Gumtree and very lucky he is living near my place.

Intel i7 Quad Core 2.6 GHz CPU, 16 GB memory, 1.12 TB Fusion drive. The hardware spec is nearly perfect and there is no urgent need to upgrade for a while.

The top end model Mac Mini late 2012 is way better and CPU wise than the current 2014 model. So not surprise old model is selling hot on eBay. Old model can reach much higher than its original price tag for a new one which is AUD 999.00.

Apple has made a rare "mistake" on the new Mac Mini - impossible to customise on a "poor" hardware spec. However, this is the opportunity Apple fans should take.
