In YOW! Night Melbourne tonight. Topic is Javascript.

Bumped with my good old time colleague in TransUrban project Shiraz (Iskenderian) in the workshop. He was still very talkative, very passionate with codes and beer.

Coming across some interesting applications and tools for Javascript development - Clojurescript, jQuery's deferred and promise, and grunt, a task-based command line build tool for JavaScript projects.

One guy presented his experimental programming language that targets JavaScript - Roy (http://roy.brianmckenna.org). Good idea, but whether other developers would commit in early stage and whether it can attract business interest was another story.

Like Robin Hood, wooing comrades and companions to go with him on robbing and killing the rich, this guy sold hard his idea. But it seemed not raise roars in the audiences. Find people could be easily stooged by promising a beautiful bubble is not an easy task.
