The jury decided that Google didn't infringe the Oracle patents (smart enough to know the difference between a stack based and a register based vm?). Oracle of course asked the judge to overrule the jury as a "matter of law", but he refused :)
I think that we developers were really lucky with the choice of judge - he understood the technical issues. Which means that the system is still somewhat broken IMHO
