at some point in my career (or maybe due to the nature of projects I worked on) I used to be very fanatical about logging timelines and measuring performance so been using timers like this a lot and everywhere (maybe even from same source although probably not - rather DIY ones, as also I was fanatical about multi-threading (thread safety etc) which this one does not seem to be much obsessed with...

in .NET world however there is a really good (as in KICK-ASS) profiler - dotTracer

highly recommended and worth the price tag...
(btw it's is from same crew of Russians that did IntelliJ IDEA, so you know it must be good even if I haven't recommended it... ;-)
